The first challenge of the month means that the Design Team are showcasing products from a certain company/designer and this month it's the turn of Prima Marketing and if you have some of their products in your craft stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and super talented Jess aka Two Mad Dahlias into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say 'Hi'
The theme for this week is...
WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY
and check out the beautiful shimmer on the Decorative Tape.
WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY
I made a card for friends who are celebrating a special anniversary later this year using Prima Marketing Pretty Pale 6" x 6" Paper Pad, Pretty Pale Decorative Tape, Pretty Pale Flowers and Stencil but couldn't resist sneaking in Tim Holtz Idea-ology Kraft Stock Metallic 2, a Lace Baseboard Frame and the perfect photo from Found Relatives.
I trimmed white card to 4.1/2" x 6.1/2", covered with the Pretty Pale paper and added strips of the Pretty Pale Decorative Tape which has beautiful shimmery copper accents.
I coloured Ranger Texture Paste with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint and applied through the script section of the Pretty Pale Stencil.
I added Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink randomly on the panel using a mini round blending tool, spritzed with water and patted with kitchen towel to get that water droplet look. I matted the card on to Kraft Stock Metallic 2 trimmed slightly larger.
I coloured an Idea-ology Lace Baseboad Frame with Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, rubbed the crayon into the detail with my finger and wiped back with a dry cloth. I added strips of the Pretty Pale Decorative Tape and fixed the Idea-ology Found Relatives to the back using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I covered scraps of white card and Kraft Stock Metallic 2 with the Decorative Tape and die-cut hearts using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Heartfelt BigZ die.
I fixed the Lace Baseboard Frame in place, added the hearts and Prima Pretty Pale Flowers using Distress Collage Medium Matte and matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
and check out the beautiful shimmer on the Decorative Tape.
which matches the subtle shimmery copper tone of the Idea-ology Kraft Stock Metallic 2 paper perfectly.
