As luck would have it, I had some pieces of Distress Oxide Spray backgrounds left over from a fun playtime a few weeks ago, sitting on the edge of my workdesk, definitely too good to waste
and perfect for using with one of the beautiful frame images and gorgeous sentiments from the Leafy Frames Stamp Set.
I trimmed the background which was created using Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Sprays on Distress Watercolor card to measure 4" x 5.1/4". I stamped the frame and sentiments from the Leafy Frames stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder. I drew a frame on the inside of the frame image using my T Square Ruler and a Sakura MicroPerm pen and coloured the flowers and leaves with Sakura White and Black Gelly Roll Pens. I added splatters of white gouache and matted the panel on to an A2 Black Card blank.
the second background was created by spritzing Dried Marigold, Twisted Citron and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Sprays diagonally on the back of the Tim Holtz Flourish Layering Stencil, spritzing with water, placing on Distress Watercolor card and pressing with kitchen towel to transfer the ink. This background wasn't large enough for an A2 card so I trimmed it down to measure 3.1/4" x 5.1/4". I stamped the frame and sentiment and drew a frame around the inside of the image as before. I cut around the frame and then trimmed off about 1/4" so that it would sit inside the outer frame leaving a border. I fixed strips of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to both pieces and fixed to a Black Card blank measuring 3.1/2" x 5.1/2".
I've now used up all the Distress Oxide Spray backgrounds and left over bits and pieces, so it's time to make some more with different colour combos. Have fun, whatever you are creating.
Toodle-oo for now

Very, very nice! I love to see crafters pick up leftover stuff that is just hanging around at the back of the desk and put them to the perfect use!
