Simon Says Stamp - Something Clear

Hi Everyone...it's a busy day on the blog and if you're here to join in the Simon Says Stamp 10th STAMPtember Super Special Blog Party, you can find the cards I made HERE

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog, thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month means that the Design Team are showcasing products from a certain company/designer and this month it's the turn of  Visible Image, a company based in the UK and if you have some of their fabulous products in your craft stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and super talented Anne Redfern aka Redanne into the Designer Spotlight. Anne is also from the UK and a very dear friend. I'm thrilled she has returned to share her amazing talents with us. If you haven't visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say 'Hi'

and the theme for this week is...
SOMETHING CLEAR
After a chasing my tail kind of a week, I took the easy option and used clear Embossing Powder and Glossy Accents on a 5" x 7" card using the Visible Image Wings Of Change stamp set and Two Tone stencil along with one of the absolutely gorgeous papers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Abandoned Paper Stash Pad.

I trimmed the paper to measure 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and have to confess I'm smitten big time by these papers, they are so beautiful and make the perfect background, gorgeous colours, so much detail and not just for Halloween either. I will be stocking up and using them all year round. But, I digress, so back to the card. I applied PaperArtsy Snowflake Fresco Finish Chalk Paint through the squares on the Visable Image Two Tone stencil.
I stamped the butterflies and sentiments from the Wings Of Change stamp set inked with Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamped randomly on the panel and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder.
I stamped the butterflies again on to Distress Watercolor card and heat resistant acetate but, changed my mind and didn't use the acetate.
I coloured the butterflies with Distress Inks, which are transparent (so that might count for another use of clear, using a Distress Detailer Brush and fussy cut.
I inked the small outline butterfly image from the stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder. I highlighted the circles on the stamped sentiments with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen, fixed the butterflies in place with Distress Collage Medium, doodled around the edge of the panel with a Faber Castell Black Pitt Pen and matted the panel on to black card and then a 5" x 7" white card blank.
As an afterthought I fixed strands of  Idea-ology Mummy Cloth behind the butterfly using Distress Collage Medium and added Glossy Accents to the circle sections on the sentiments.
I finished off by cutting up an Idea-ology Small Talk Sticker to make four individual stickers and fixed on the card using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
