Simon Says - Stitch It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
STITCH IT
I created a wall panel to tell the story of two intrepid adventurers who went foraging in the woods in the dead of night but look as though they are now not sure it was such a good idea.
I had an adventure of my own when my sewing machine decided to throw another tantrum. It was quite happy to stitch but just not with thread. My attempts resulted in a horrible tangled mess, taking ages to unpick, so I had to resort to some faux stitching. And because of all that time wasted, there is no photo step-by-step this week.
I trimmed Tim Holtz Idea-ology Abandoned Paper to 4.1/"2 x 6.1/2" and die-cut a circle from white paper to use as a stencil. I applied Picket Fence Distress ink using Ranger Cut 'n Dry to create the moon. I placed the die-cut circle on top and created shadows around the moon using Black Soot Distress Ink and also added some shadows to the moon. I inked the cobweb from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Life Of The Party and Specimens image with Black Soot Archival and Script image from Tiny Toadstools with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear and White Embossing Powders.
I stamped one of the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Wildflowers inked with Black Soot Archival on the bottom section of the panel to create the look of foliage. I used Tim Holtz Craft Pick, Design Ruler and a Sharpie Black Liner Pen to create the faux stitching. I sprinkled Stampendous Aged Black Embossing Enamel on the panel and heat set from underneath. I coloured the Paper Dolls with Distress Markers, fixed to the panel with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive and added Clippings Stickers from the Idea-ology Curiosities Sticker Book.
I coloured Idea-ology Mummy Cloth with Distress Oxide Sprays and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium. I inked the tiny toadstools with Black Soot Archival, stamped on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Distress inks, fussy cut and fixed in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I added the bats die-cut from Black Classic KraftStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bat Crazy Thinlits, added splatters of white gouache and distressed the edges of the panel. I trimmed Black Classic Kraftstock to 6.1/2" x 8.1/2", stamped the cobweb image around the edges inked with Versamark, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder and fixed the panel in place.
