A Christmas Wish...

Hi my friends, it's Friday and the weekend beckons. I'm sharing another Etcetera Tag I decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Thin Ice, Alphanumeric Shadow Lower and Falling Stars Thinlits, all from the Chapter 3 Christmas release. If you missed the Facebook Live launch of the latest Halloween and Christmas Chapter 3 releases, you can catch up over on Tim's blog HERE and HERE.

I began by painting Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Small Etcetera Tag and Etcetera Scallop Trims with Chipped Sapphire Distress Paint and dry brushed with Picket Fence. (I ended up not using the Etcetera Trims and set aside for another project)
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 7.1/4", spritzed with water and sprayed with Peacock Feathers ,Chipped Sapphire and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Sprays. I cut snowbanks from Distress Watercolor card, inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and fixed to the bottom of the panel.
I smooshed Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough and Forest Moss Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and placed Distress Watercolor card on to the inks, dried with a heat tool and went back in to pick up the remaining droplets of ink. I repeated this process to create another panel using Evergreen Bough, Chipped Sapphire and Crushed Olive. I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheets to Classic KraftStock, Distress Watercolor card and the coloured panels and die-cut the trees using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Thin Ice Thinlits. I inked the edges of the snow pieces with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink using a mini round blending tool and assembled the trees. I decided not to stitch all the trunks as shown in the photo.
I die-cut the skater boy from Distress Watercolor card, Classic and Silver Metallic KraftStock, again inking the edges of the die-cuts with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink before assembling.
I machine stitched around the edge of the panel and fixed to the Etcetera Tag using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I added the trees and skater boy popped up on Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension.
I die-cut the word "wish" using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Shadow Lower Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card, used a mix of the shadow and letters and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I die-cut the stars using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Falling Stars Thinlits, inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink, fixed Silver Glitter thread to the back of the larger stars and a thread connecting the smaller stars and fixed to the tag with Sizzix Foam Adhesive.

I added Idea-ology Clippings Stickers from the Christmas Sticker Book
I applied Distress Grit Paste to Idea-ology Icicles using my finger and fixed under the panel using Distress Collage Medium Matte
added more Grit Paste to fill in that little gap and while the paste was still wet, sprinkled with Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter and added an Idea-ology Christmas Quote Chip.

I added splatters of White Gesso and Idea-ology Christmas Ephemera to cover the hole on the top of the tag. I dry brushed an Idea-ology Hinge Clip with Picket Fence Distress Paint and sprinkled with Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter while the paint was still wet.
And once again with the thought that you can never have too much Christmas sparkle, I applied Distress Collage Medium to the alphabet letters, stars and snow on the branches using a small paintbrush and sprinkled with Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you have planned. I'll be heading over to Tim and Mario's place on Saturday for the Facebook Live Launch of Idea-ology Halloween at 10.00am PT, 6.00pm if you're in the UK and 7.00pm in Europe. It's guaranteed to be a fun spookilicious party and I hope to see you there. Not forgetting the other two August dates you will definitely want to mark on your calendars.

Hugs Kath xxx
