Simon Says - Use Your Favourite Stamp

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
USE YOUR FAVOURITE STAMP
STAMPtember is a very special time in the Simon Says Stamp store calendar and this week the design team are showcasing their favourite Simon Says exclusive stamps. We are also welcoming the lovely and super talented Tracy Ware aka Redsas on Instagram into the Designer Spotlight.
I made a card with two of my favourite stamp sets, Beautiful Flowers and Stronger Together, used Tim Holtz Crackling Campfire and Bundled Sage Distress Oxides to create a smooshed watercolor look and the Square Dance Stencil to monoprint on the background.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.1/2" x 6.1/2", stamped the large floral image from Simon Says Beautiful Flower inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and left the stamp in my Stamp Platform.
I smooshed the Crackling Campfire and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked up the individual colours using a piece of acetate and smooshed on to the card. I repeated and dried between layers.
I tapped the Simon Says Square Dance Stencil into the remaining Crackling Campfire ink, placed the stencil on to the panel, covered with a paper towel and pressed to transfer the ink and mop up any residue creating a monoprint effect.
I placed the panel back in to my Stamp Platform in the same position as before, re-stamped the image again to accentuate the detail and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stronger Together.

I matted the panel on to Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

This, without a doubt, is the quickest card I have ever made because when you have a huge oops moment and drop the intended art journal project below, face down into a puddle of Black Soot Distress Paint (the toast always falls butter side down syndrome), you have to pull on your big girl knickers, pull out all the stops and crack on with a replacement.
