Merry Christmas from the "failed again" crafter

Good Morning my friends, just popped on to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, it's going to be different than the ones we're used to for sure but in my neck of the woods, we've had an overnight snowfall and it looks like my Christmas may well be white. Can't remember the last time we had a magical white christmas.

For those of you who seem to think I am superwoman when it comes to getting things done, let me set the record straight. With the best intentions in the world and lots of hints, tips and encouragement from my adorable Professor, I failed miserably to complete any of the planned home decor projects. The trees, paper village houses and candles are still sitting neglected where I left them
and the christmas village scene hasn't got past the planning stage.
the angel ornaments for the tree have no bodies or wings
and the Winter Critter Shaker Ornaments are still on the assembly line
I don't think I specified which Christmas they were for so who knows, if I start after this year's festivities, they may well be done and dusted for Christmas 2021.
We are home alone for Christmas this year so there is no catering on a massive scale and running around the kitchen like a headless chicken and although it's disappointing not to celebrate with family, I'm looking forward to a couple of chilled out days, lounging around in my jammies, watching all the crap TV and no doubt, snacking as if there was no tomorrow. Enjoy your Christmas whatever you have planned and stay safe.
Hugs Kath xxx

  3. Christmas has definitely been a fail for me this year, Kath...I was supposed to be making Christmas presents and sending cards all before December even kicked in! Then hubby lost his job and we started a new business, so everything went out the window...now the giult trip has stepped in because I will actually have the time over Christmas to do something - maybe I should get organised for next year...yeah, who am I kidding?! Have a very happy Christmas and a healthy New year, Lisa x

  5. You are miles ahead of me and now it's too late for me, I have one project to finish and that is a scarf for my dear friend, but I told her it may be a New Years gift instead. Nothing except good food and little of the special rum and egg nog to toast the season and that's about it. Thanks for sharing, you are not the only one Kath. Merry Christmas to everybody and a very Happy New Year.

  8. You have inspired me all year and I have even learned quite a few "tricks" along the way, Kath! One was a card with the Tim Holtz botanical theme tissue that you inspired me to paint and use for a background! Thank you for all your humor which I enjoy immensely. We are all in this pandemic together and now your Brexit is almost complete! Christmas will be different, but then, we need to think of this as an adventure and one we will probably never forget. Happy Christmas Kath!

  9. I don't have any decorations up yet nor a Christmas table set, as it will only be for my husband and I. We may look at lights tonight and drop off gifts to a niece who lives close by. I can relate to every "failure" and laughed about the "crap TV" which I watched last night while working in the kitchen. Ahhh, praying 2021 will be better.

  12. Merry Christmas from Northwest Indiana! We have no snow this year! That's fine by me. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one that doesn't finish things. Love your work and style. Enjoy the Holidays.
