Simon Says - Four Legged Friends

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS
I created a page in my Dina Wakley Blue Edition Media Journal inspired by cats who have the ability to nap at the drop of a hat. I used my favourite cat from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Halloween Snarky Cats and Crate, Gradient Dot and Bricked Layering Stencils to add interest and texture in the background. I added a hat from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Distinquished and used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Classic Lower and Bold Thinlits with Idea-ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers for the title.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 5" x 7" and coloured by smooshing the Custom Ink Pad (Antique Linen/Old Paper Distress Ink and Speckled Egg/Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide re-inkers) on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat. I applied Distress Crackle Texture Paste through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bricked Layering Stencil and set aside to dry. I used the Crate and Gradient Dots Layering Stencils with Salvaged Patina and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide inks to add colour to the background and randomly stamped the Rings background from Halftone and Rings inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I coloured the bricked areas with Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, rubbing the crayon into the texture with a slightly damp finger, add Speckled Egg, Crackling Campfire and Picket Fence Distress Crayon, sprinkled randomly with Speckled Egg and Crackling Campfire Embossing Glazes and heat set. I inked the cat image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Halloween Snarky Cats with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped directly on to the panel and on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut and fixed to the panel with 3D foam.
I covered a chipboard speech bubble from my stash with a scrap to match the background and added the letters die-cut from Idea-ology Neutral KraftStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits.
I stamped the hat from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Distinguished inked with Vintage Photo Distress Archival on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Walnut Stain and Crackling Campfire Distress inks using a Distress Detailer Brush and die-cut using the matching set of  Sizzix Framelits which were a one and done release and if you don't have them, the hat is easy to fussy cut. To complete the title I die-cut Alphanumeric Classic Lower Thinlits from Neutral KraftStock and Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and added Idea-ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers.
I coloured the cat using Crackling Campfire and Salvaged Patina Distress inks and added Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose.
