Just One More Cuppa

Hi my friends, I know I've been missing from the old blog recently, busy making stuff that I can't share with you just yet and in between trying to get back on track with the next phase of the garden makeover with the help of the "couldn't do it without you" gravel gang.

And while I wait for my trusty joiner to return to start Phase 2, remove that old rickety "home to many spiders" shed and construct a deck in it's place, I should be hitting the neglected list of crafty things to do, instead I've been enjoying the gorgeous summer weather, sitting outside at every opportunity with my "I'll just have one more cuppa" hat on, watching the birds going about their business and by the way, the cubbyhole is far too hot during the day for crafting so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.  I did, however, manage to squeeze in a little crafting session between cuppas, using the gorgeous Wildflower Field Embossing Folder from Simon Says Stamp recent Rainbows release and a selection of "perfect for summer" Distress Oxide ink pads.

I began by applying Distress Oxide ink to the debossed side of the Wildflower Field Embossing Folder using mini round blending tools, placed Distress Watercolor card into the folder, ran through my trusty die-cutting machine and lightly sanded the raised embossed areas. I added Doodlebug Heart Shape Sprinkles, trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/2" and fixed to a 4.1/2" x 6" white card blank covered with My Favourite Things Black and White striped paper from my stash.

To finish I added a Tim Holtz/Ideaology Sentiments Label Sticker.
