Simon Says - Mixed Media

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month is when the Design Team showcase one particular brand or company and this month, we are all using the fabulous products from Dina Wakley. You don't have to use these products to join in the challenge but we would love to see how you use them if you have them in your stash

 The theme for this week is...

MIXED MEDIA

I decorated a Dina Wakley 5" x 7" Canvas Art Panel with a Summer Vibes theme using Dina Wakley Media Acrylic paints, Curly Fronds Media Mask/Stencil, Faces and Just Words Collage Papers and added flowers die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Floral Large Thinlits.

I applied light coats of Turquoise and Lime Media Acrylic Paints to the Art Canvas Panel using a Distress Brayer.

I pounced the same colours through the Curly Frond stencil using a small piece of Ranger Cut 'n Dry Foam.

I inked the Craze background stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Craze and Planks with Black Soot Distress Archival and holding the stamp in my hands, stamped randomly over the stencilled leaves.

I used a Black Micron pen to add sketchy lines around the edges of the stencilled leaves and fixed torn sections of the Faces and Just Words Collage Papers in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I applied Dina Wakley Lemon, Magenta and Tangerine Media Acrylic Paints to Distress Watercolor card using a Distress Brayer

and die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Floral Large Thinlits.

I added colour and shading to the Faces Collage Paper image by picking up the colour directly from the Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks with a wet paintbrush.

I flicked on some dots using Dina Wakley White Media Glossy Spray

and added Black Media Acrylic paint around the edges of the panels using Ranger Cut 'n Dry.
