Wildflower Field - Take 2

Hi my friends, it's Friday and the weekend beckons, fingers crossed the sunshine weather continues. I'm back to share another 2 cards using the gorgeous Wildflower Fields Embossing Folder from Simon Says Stamp recent Rainbows release along with two of my favourite Tim Holtz Distress Oxide colours, Kitsch Flamingo and Cracked Pistachio.

I began by dragging Kitsch Flamingo and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink pads over the debossed side of the Wildflower Field Embossing Folder, placed an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card in the folder and ran through my die-cutting machine (the panel on the left). I spritzed the ink that remained on the embossing folder and ran it through again resulting in the much paler version on the right. I coloured the centres of the flowers and extra flowers with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I splattered the panel with Black and White Gesso, sprinkled with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" matted on to a panel of paper from my stash trimmed to 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" and fixed to a 4.3/4" x 6" white card blank.

To finish I added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Sentiments Label Sticker

On the second panel I added Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to the flower centres, splatters of Black Soot Distress Ink and dots to the flower centres using a Black Fine Liner pen.
I trimmed the panel to 3.3/4" x 5.1/4" out of necessity when I left a black inky fingerprint on one side, and added a 1/4" strip of striped paper to the left side.
I matted the panel on to a white card blank and added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Sentiments Label Sticker

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. In the meantime, I'm on a mission to weatherproof the roofs of new bird nesting boxes
and with outdoor varnish not easy to source at the moment, I'm going with a coat of clear gesso, followed by a coat of Distress Paint and finishing off with a generous coat of Distress Collage Medium.
nothing but the best for my feathered friends.
