Simon Says - Fun With Foil

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

FUN WITH FOIL

I made Winter Birthday cards using Decofoil Rainbow Foil Transfer Sheets to create backgrounds on Distress Black Heavystock, stamped and heat embossed snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie, added Simple Sayings sentiments and Simon Says Pawsitively Prism Dazzling Gems.

I trimmed Distress Black Heavystock to create 2 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels and applied adhesive to the centres of the panels using a Simon Says Stamp Craft Glue Stick.

I placed a Decofoil Rainbow Foil Transfer Sheet over each panel and burnished the area with adhesive using a bone folder.

I removed the sheets to reveal the beautiful random foiled backgrounds. I dusted the panels using Simon Says Stamp Anti-Static Powder Tool, stamped the largest snowflake image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Stamp White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I buffed the panels with a clean cloth to remove any of the anti-static powder residue.

I inked the Happy Birthday sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Simple Sayings with Versafine Clair Nocture Ink on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card.

I trimmed the sentiments using my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips and fixed in place with Simon Says Thin 3D foam squares.

To finish I fixed the panels to A2 white card blanks and added Simon Says Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for some added shine and sparkle.
