Simon Says - Favorite Things

Hello my friends, Simon Says Stamp have just launched their latest release - Favorite Things and there are so many products in this release that I'm sure will become some of your favourites. You can check out all the products in the release HERE.

I created a trio of Mini 4" x 4" cards using the super cute hippo images and sentiments from Simon Says Stamp Hip Hip Hooray 3" x 4" stamp set, decorated with the Pretty Bows dies and Pale Green Embellishments Mix.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 3 - 3.1/2" square panels, smooshed a Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink pad on to my craft mat, spritzed with water and tapped the panels into the ink until I was happy with the backgrounds and dried.
I applied Simon Says Stamp Carnation Pawsitively Saturated Ink randomly on the backgrounds through the Falling Hearts Stencil using a Round Detail Blending Brush.
I stamped the images from Hip Hip Hooray on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth Card, inked with Simon Says Stamp Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I coloured the images with Grey and Pink Zig Real Clean Color Markers and fussy cut using my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips.
I stamped the sentiments from Hip Hip Hooray on to the panels, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, added the hippos, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium and added the sequins from the Pale Green Embellishment Mix.
I matted the panels on to Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock, trimmed to be 1/8" larger and added bows die-cut using Simon Says Stamp Pretty Bows dies.
I added Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles to the centres of the bows and the hippos and matted the panels on to 4" square white card blanks.

I'll be back soon to share another make using products from the Favorites release, in the meantime, I'm planning a day in the garden tomorrow, weather permitting. Have a great weekend whatever you have planned.

Tweet Birthday Greetings

Hello my friends, I'm sharing a "Tweet Birthday Greetuings" card using the Tweet Friend stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Tweet Friend March 2025 Card Kit, along with the co-ordinating dies which are available to purchase separately, coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Watercolor Pencils. The kit is still available to purchase or if you wish, you can subscribe and receive the card kit every month or purchase individual items from the kit separately HERE.

I trimmed one of the Paper Rose Flower Shoppe patterned papers to 4" x 5.1/4", embossed using Simon Says Dancing Floral Embossing Folder from a previous release, sanded the detail with Tim Holtz Mini Round Blending Tool and Sanding Disk and inked around the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and a Tiny Blending Tool.
I trimmed a panel from another of the Flower Shoppe patterned papers, inked around the edge with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and added stamps from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book.
I stamped the images and sentiments from Simon Says Tweet Friend stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival Ink and coloured using Peeled Paint and Mustard Seed Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Detailer Waterbrush.
I die-cut the images and sentiment using the Tweet Friend co-ordinating dies, not included in the kit but available as a separate purchase. I die-cut the birthday sentiment and exclamation mark twice more and layered to create dimension.
I fixed the die-cut images in place using Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares and the sentiments using Distress Collage Medium and fixed the panel to an A2 white blank, trimmed, scored and folded from the Neenah Solar White cardstock included in the kit.

Simon Says Stamp has a brand new release launching tomorrow and I'll be back soon to share a card I made with some gorgeous goodies from the release. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.

Simon Says - Look To The Night Sky

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
LOOK TO THE NIGHT SKY
I created a sparkling starry night sky using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask Stencils and Starry Mini Layering Stencil from Set 31, Dusty Concord Distress Spray Stain, Distress Oxide Spray and Gilded Foundry Wax, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Christmas Magic and Bold Text 2 Thinlits.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", fixed the moon mask blank in place temporarily and spritzed Dusty Concord Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray on to the panel, spritzed with water and dried. I remove the blank mask and inked through the matching detail mask stencil with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a tiny blending tool.
I stamped the branch image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Bones, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on to the panel.
I die-cut the cityscape from Distress Watercolor and Black HeavyStock and layered slightly offset to create a highlight. I over-stamped with the plaid stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Rabbit, inked with Simon Says White Pigment Ink and fixed to the bottom of the panel using Distress Collage Medium.
I applied Distress Black Opaque Texture Paste through the Starry Mini Layering Stencil from Set 31, sprinkled with Simon Says Gold Ultra Fine Embossing Powder and heat set once the texture paste was dry.
I die-cut the sentiment from Distress Watercolor and Distress Black HeavyStock 3 times, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text 2 thinlits and used the negative die-cut as a template to position the first set of letters.
I fixed the rest of the Distress Watercolor card letters in place using Distress Collage Medium. I layered the Black HeavyStock letters, applied Gilded Foundry Wax on the edges using a small paintbrush and added to the panel to create dimension.

I added splatters of Gilded Foundry Wax, heat set and splatters of Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray. To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed to a white card blank trimmed to 4.1/2" x 5.3/4"

Simon Says - Tweet Friend March 2025 Card Kit

Happy Saturday my friends, I was so excited when the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Tweet Friend March 2025 Card Kit arrived in the cubbyhole. filled to the brim, as always, with fabulous goodies to inspire and kick start your creative mojo. You can find all the details of what's in the kit, how to order or subscribe over at Simon Says Stamp HERE.

I created a dome shaped card using Simon Says Nested Domed Arches Wafer dies and decorated with images and sentiment from the super cute Tweet Friend 6" x 8" stamp set, coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Watercolor Pencils.
I scored and folded the Neenah Solar White cardstock included in the kit and die-cut using the largest dome die from Simon Says Nested Domed Arches, placed just over the folded edge of the card. I fixed a panel of the Paper Rose Flower Shoppe patterned paper to the front of the card using Distress Collage Medium and trimmed away the excess. I die-cut a frame from the Neenah Solar White cardstock using the largest and a smaller die from the Nested Domed Arches, fixed Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares on the back and fixed to the front of the card.
I stamped the images and sentiment from the Simon Says Tweet Friend 6" x 8" stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and the hearts with Cranberry Pawsitively Saturated Ink.
I coloured the images using Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Detailer Water Brush.
I die-cut the images with the Tweet Friend co-ordinating dies which are not included in the kit but are available to purchase separately and fixed to the frame with Thin 3D Foam Squares. I die-cut the Hugs sentiment from scrap white card 3 times, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium.
I wasn't happy with the colour of the die-cut hearts and carefully removed them from the panel. I coloured the heart stamps with Tim Holtz/Ranger Worn Lipstick Distress Watercolor Pencil, stamped on to scrap card, die-cut and fixed in place with Thin 3D Foam Squares.
To finish I added dot detail to the larger bird using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen.

I'll be back soon to share more makes with this fabulous card kit. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the spring like weather we've been having in my neck of the woods, the longer hours of daylight and watching the garden come to life again.

Love, Hugs and Kisses

Hello my friends, Valentine's Day may have come and gone but Love is a timeless theme suitable for cards throughout the year. I created a card using the Outline Hearts set of stencils, Love Letter stamps and co-ordinating dies, Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pads from the Simon Says Limited Edition Sending Love Card, Box and Tag Kit along with the flower image and sentiment from Simon Says Distressed Vintage Love Notes stamp set included in the February 2025 card kit. Both kits are sold out but individual items from the kits are available to purchase, see the links below.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and used 3 of the stencils from the Stencil Set with Carnation, Tropic and Cranberry Pawsitively Saturated Inks, applied with Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes, to create a background.
I die-cut an aperture using the Love die from the Love Letter set of dies and fixed the panel to one of the pre-scored Sea Glass side-folded A4 cards included in the limited edition kit.
I stamped the floral image from the Distressed Vintage Love Notes stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, also included in the kit.
I stamped Love from the Love Letter stamp set, inked with Pawsitively Saturated Carnation ink, the flowers from Distress Vintage Love Notes, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on to a panel of Distress Watercolor card. I smooshed the Carnation ink pad on to my Glass Media Mat and used a Detailer Water Brush to colour the flower petals.
I die-cut Love with the co-ordinating Love Letter die and fixed into the aperture with Simon Says Thin 3D foam squares. I fussy cut the flowers with my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips and popped up with the Thin 3D foam squares to add dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Distressed Vintage Love Notes stamp set on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark, sprinkled with White Detail embossing powder, heat set, fussy cut and fixed in place with Thin 3D foam squares. I stamped the postmark image from the Distressed Vintage Love Notes stamp set on the die-cut, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, to add interest.

Have fun with whatever you are creating.
