Happy Saturday my friends, I was so excited when the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Tweet Friend March 2025 Card Kit arrived in the cubbyhole. filled to the brim, as always, with fabulous goodies to inspire and kick start your creative mojo. You can find all the details of what's in the kit, how to order or subscribe over at Simon Says Stamp HERE.
I created a dome shaped card using Simon Says Nested Domed Arches Wafer dies and decorated with images and sentiment from the super cute Tweet Friend 6" x 8" stamp set, coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Watercolor Pencils.I scored and folded the Neenah Solar White cardstock included in the kit and die-cut using the largest dome die from Simon Says Nested Domed Arches, placed just over the folded edge of the card. I fixed a panel of the Paper Rose Flower Shoppe patterned paper to the front of the card using Distress Collage Medium and trimmed away the excess. I die-cut a frame from the Neenah Solar White cardstock using the largest and a smaller die from the Nested Domed Arches, fixed Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares on the back and fixed to the front of the card.I stamped the images and sentiment from the Simon Says Tweet Friend 6" x 8" stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and the hearts with Cranberry Pawsitively Saturated Ink.I coloured the images using Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Detailer Water Brush.I die-cut the images with the Tweet Friend co-ordinating dies which are not included in the kit but are available to purchase separately and fixed to the frame with Thin 3D Foam Squares. I die-cut the Hugs sentiment from scrap white card 3 times, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium.
I wasn't happy with the colour of the die-cut hearts and carefully removed them from the panel. I coloured the heart stamps with Tim Holtz/Ranger Worn Lipstick Distress Watercolor Pencil, stamped on to scrap card, die-cut and fixed in place with Thin 3D Foam Squares.
To finish I added dot detail to the larger bird using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen.I'll be back soon to share more makes with this fabulous card kit. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the spring like weather we've been having in my neck of the woods, the longer hours of daylight and watching the garden come to life again.
