Hello my friends, wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Love Notes Sidekick Dies and Texture Fade and Simon Says Love Shadow Wafer Die for the sentiment.
I embossed the heart pattern on to an A2 panel of Distress Kraft HeavyStock, leaving the centre of the panel un-embossed, using the Texture Fade included with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Love Notes. I dragged the Picket Fence Distress Ink pad across the surface to highlight the raised detail.I spritzed the ribbon with water, crumpled in my hand, dried, fixed across the panel and tied in a bow.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Antique Linen Distress Oxide and die-cut 3 envelopes using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sidekick Love Notes.I folded the envelopes along the score lines, inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending tool, assembled and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium. I die-cut the word LOVE 3 times using Simon Says Stamp Love Shadow wafer die and the hearts using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sidekick Love Notes from Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red cardstock and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.I die-cut more hearts and fixed in place to look like they were flying out from the envelope.
I inked the postmarks and small typography from Simon Says Stamp Vintage Loves Notes stamp set with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and stamped randomly on the envelopes.I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4", distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Paper Distresser, rather too agressively perhaps because some of the embossed hearts fell out from the top and bottom edges but I quite liked the effect and decided to leave it. To finish I added splatters of Scorched Timber Distress Ink, matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank and added Ranger Glossy Accents to the hearts and sentiment.
Stunning Valentine card Kath, I absolutely love all the detail, it’s fabulous! xx
