Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
MATCHING SET
I created cards, gift tags and custom wrapping paper from Distress Kraft HeavyStock using Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Season stamp set and sentiments using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Merry & Bright Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous Scribbly Christmas and Simon Says Stamp Scribbly Christmas co-ordinating dies.
I trimmed Distress Kraft HeavyStock to 4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the snowflakes from Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Season 6" x 8" stamp set inked with White Pigment Ink, Versamark ink and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink, sprinkled with White, Gold and Clear Embossing Powders and heat set. I used a Mini Round Blending Tool to add White Pigment ink around the edges to soften.
I repeated the process on Kraft wrapping paper and tags.
I stamped the snowflake circle from the Snowflake Season stamp set, inked with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink and die-cut using a small circle nesting die. I wound Simon Says Stamp Red/White Twine around the card panel, fixed the stamped circle in place, popped up on 2D foam squares and matted the panel on to and A2 Schoolhouse Red blank card. I fixed the large tag on to a Schoolhouse Red blank card, added the stamped circle as before and added the Red/White twine. I die-cut Merry from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Merry & Bright Thinlits and fixed in place using Dostress Collage Medium.
I matted the circle tag on to a larger die-cut circle cut from Schoolhouse Red cardstock and repeated with the two smaller tag, trimmed to leave a small border. I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Scribbly Christmas, inked with White Pigment ink, on to scraps of Schoolhouse Red cardstock, sprinkled with White Embossing powder, heat set, die-cut with the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp, fixed in place with 3D foam squares and added red/white twine.
