Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
The first challenge of the month is when the team feature one particular brand/company and this month we are all using exclusive products from our very own Simon Says Stamp. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge, but we would love to see what you make if you have them in your stash.
We are also welcoming back Estelle Palumbo as our Designer In The Spotlight and if you haven't visited her blog yet, please pop over, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
MOTHER'S DAY/FEMININE
I created a trio of feminine floral cards inspired by the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Long Stem Florals stamp set and co-ordinating dies, EZ Strips Everday and EZ Strips Rectangles die and Simple Stories Vintage Junk Drawer patterned papers.
I trimmed the Simple Stories Vintage Junk Market papers to 3.34" x 5" and trimmed out panels from the papers, inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool and fixed to A2 white card blanks.
I stamped the floral images from Simon Says Stamp Long Stem Florals on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I coloured the stamped images with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) using a Detailer Water Brush, die-cut using the co-ordinating Long Stem Florals dies and fixed to the cards with Simon Says Stamp 3D Foam Squares on the flower heads and Distress Collage Medium on the stems.
I added 49andMarket Rub-Ons to add text and stitching detail to add interest to the plain backgrounds. Why don't you pop over to the Monday Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations from my very talented Design Team mates and as always you have until Monday 8am Ohio time...1pm UK time...2pm CET to join in with the chance to win a $25 voucher to spend online at Simon Says Stamp
