Simon Says - Four Legged Friends

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

I decorated a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous #8 Etcetera Tag inspired by childhood memories of fun times spent with my sister and our much loved four legged friend. I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pink Palette Collection paper, Mosaic Mini Layering stencil from Set 28, Simon Says Stamp Long Stem Florals stamp set and co-ordinating dies, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Dolls and Sizzix Handwritten Love and Tiny Type Lower Thinlits.

I attached Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pink Palette Collection paper to the #8 Etcetera Tag using Distress Collage Medium and a Collage Brush.

I trimmed off the excess and sanded the edges to neaten.  I applied Distress Texture Paste through the Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil from Set 28.

Once the paste was dry, I applied Distress Collage Medium over the tag, scribbled Walnut Stain Distress Crayon over the textured sections and rubbed into the detail with my finger.

I stamped the images from Simon Says Long Stem Florals on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured with Distress Crayons (colours linked below) using a Detailer Waterbrush.

I die-cut using Simon Says Long Stem Florals co-ordinating dies.

I applied a light coat of Distress Collage Medium over the Tim Holtz Idea-ology to add tooth to the surface ready for colouring.

I scribbled the Distress Crayons (colours linked below) on to my craft mat and applied the colour to the Paper Dolls using a Detailer Waterbrush.

I fixed the Paper Dolls and die-cut florals in place popped up on Simon Says 3D Thin Foam Squares to add dimension.

I die-cut "Friends" 4 times from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Love Thinlits, layered and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

To complete the sentiment, I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower from Distress Watercolor card, fixed to a strip of Distress Black HeavyStock and added to the tag.

To finish I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I added a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Hinge Clip to act as a hanger, if required.
