Hello my friends, I'm always super excited when the postie comes knocking to deliver the monthly Simon Says Stamp card kit and this month's kit is another winner, brimming with lots of great products to give your creativity a kick start. You can check out the contents of the kit, subscribe if you don't already or if you so wish, purchase individual items from the kit HERE.
With so many products to choose from, I decided to jump in and have some fun with the Long Stem Florals stamp set, Squoval Tag dies, Simple Stories Vintage Junk Market patterned papers and Rub-Ons and the Long Stem Florals co-ordinating dies which are not included in the kit but are available to purchase separately.
I scribbled around the edges of the background panel and tags with the Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, also included in the kit, and smudged with my finger. I attached the background panel, tags and a thin strip of contrasting paper to the card front and added re-inforcers die-cut from the Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Rose Gold Metallic KraftStock, also included in the kit.
I coloured 2 of the previously stamped images with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) and a Detailer Waterbrush.
I added Simple Stories Vintage Junk Market Rub-Ons, die-cut the floral images using the co-ordinating dies and fixed in place with Simon Says 3D Thin Foam Squares. I stamped the sentiment from the Long Stem Florals stamp set on to Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set and fixed in place with 3D Thin Foam Squares. To finish I added Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter and a white twine bow.I coloured 2 of the previously stamped images with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) and a Detailer Waterbrush.
I'll be back soon to share more card kit projects, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making..
Hugs Kath xxx
