Simon Says - Bright and Cheerful

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL

I created 2 cards with neutral backgrounds using Simon Says Stamp Big Basket Weave Stencil, added bright and cheerful coloured butterflies using Simon Says Stamp Artsy Butterflies stamp set and the co-ordinating Stencils/Masks and Tim Holtz/Ideaology Thoughts Label Stickers for the sentiments.

I trimmed 1/8" off  2- A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card and applied Hickory Smoke and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide inks through Simon Says Stamp Big Basket Weave Stencil to create neutral backgrounds.

I stamped 3 butterlies from Simon Says Stamp Artsy Butterflies on to each panel, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink to save fussy cutting the delicate antennae and stamped again on to Distress Watercolor card.

I stamped the script, splatters and circle images from Simon Says Stamp A Little Artsy, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks.

I inked around the edges of the panel with Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. I coloured the butterflies using Simon Says Stamp Artsy Butterflies Stencils/Masks, Simon Says Detail Round Blending Brushes with the same 4 colours of Distress Oxide inks and added Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Black Splatter.

I fussy cut around the butterflies leaving a white border and cutting off the antennae (there are dies available, linked below) and fixed to the panels with Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squares to create lift and dimension.

I added 49andMarket Fresh Start Rub-Ons to add more interest to the backgrounds.

To finish I added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Thoughts Label Stickers popped up on Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squares for the sentiments and matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.
