Simon Says - Not A Card

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month is when the team feature one particular brand/company and this month we are all using the fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don't have to use Tim's products to join in the challenge but if you already have them in your stash, we would love to see what you make with them.

The theme for this week is...

NOT A CARD

I created an Easter Wishes Wall Panel using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Rectangles Panel, Linked Circles and Stitches Layering Stencils, Simon Says Stamp A Little Artsy stamp set, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Feathered Friends, Wildflower Stems 1, Alphanumeric Bulletin and Handwritten Celebrate Thinlits.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 5.1/4" x 7.1/4" to fit the Etcetera Rectangles Panel, sprayed Speckled Egg and Bundle Sage Distress Spray Stains on to my media mat, spritzed with water and dragged the panel through the colours, dried and tapped back in repeatedly, drying between layers. I fixed to the Etcetera Rectangles panel using Distress Collage Medium. I applied Wild Honey and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Linked Circles and Stitches Layering Stencils using Mini Round Blending tools and stamped the stitching and splatter images from Simon Says Stamp A Little Artsy stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Wild Honey, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium.

I added splatters of Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Black Splatter Medium.

I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Bulletin Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card to spell the word Easter and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and fixed Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squareson to the letters.  I coloured Distress Watercolor card with Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain, die-cut the letters again and fixed in place.

I inked the splatter image from A Little Artsy with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and stamped randomly over the letters to create some contrast.

I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Celebrate Thinlits 3 times from Distress Black HeavyStock, layered and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlits from Distress Black HeavyStock and Distress Watercolor card, coloured the body and wings with Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks, assembled and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I stamped the text from A Little Artsy, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on to the letters to create more contrast and stamped randomly on the edges of the panel. I added Gina K Black Mini Pearl Mix to the bird's eye and the wishes word.

To finish I fixed Black/White Plaid Ribbon from my stash to the back of the panel to create a hanger and added a bow.
