Hello my friends, I'm super excited to be joining lots of creative friends to celebrate the exclusive release from Simon Says Stamp of 6 new sets of dies to co-ordinate with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamps. You can check out the release HERE.
I created a trio of underwater scene cards perfect for the fisherman in your life using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Brushstrokes and Sea Life, the Simon Says Stamp Sea Life co-ordinating dies and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits.I stamped the large circle from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Brushstrokes on to 3 - A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card. I inked the stamps with a mix of Salty Ocean, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks and misted with water to create a watercolor effect.
If you arrived here from Barbara Tarayao's Blog, you're in the right place but if you happen to get lost along the way, you can use the list below to get back on track
I created backgrounds on Distress Watercolor card for the greenery, fish and crab using Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the images on to the backgrounds, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.
I die-cut the images using the Simon Says Stamp Sea Life co-ordinating dies.
I fixed the images in place with Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares. I trimmed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Halloween Baseboards to create the signs, sanded and added words die-cut from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits - one of my favourite go-to alphabet sets which is now sadly retired. To finish I added splatters of Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and matted the panels on to top-folding A2 white card blanks.· Kath

I love this so much! I have trouble seeing how to use stamps like this. So thankful for the inspiration you have provided me!
ReplyDeleteYour use of all the fish are just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. They are perfect for a masculine card, which I have so many issues with. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
