It's your furry boy again...

A very good morning to all my lovely bloggy buds...yes it's your gorgeous bundle of golden deliciousness reporting from the cubbyhole...there's good news...I passed my MOT with flying colours...was there ever any doubt and guess what...the vet was so bowled over by my handsome looks...she completely forgot to take my temperature and who am I to tell her how to do her job.  We've had 2 glorious sunshiney days in our little corner of the world...silly us for thinking that summer had eventually arrived. We had a little treat planned for today...off to the wilds of the countryside for a day of hiking or in my case strolling and sniffing with a picnic lunch thrown in but the weather forecast's put a damper on that idea...it's going to be rain...rain and more rain.
Oh well...I suppose it'll just have to be another day in the cubbyhole...back to the same old stuff and time to share some crafty stuff...the result of yesterday's playtime with the new boys in the cubbyhole...Tim Holtz Christmas Blueprints...

What's On My Workdesk Wednesday...

Morning folks...time to shoot over to Julia's place and hang out with all those lovely crafty folks over at WOYWW who kindly throw open their crafty room doors and allow us all to troop in and have a good nosey around but before I show you what's on my workdesk today...I feel I should issue a Government Health Warning...there's been a car crash in the cubbyhole and it's not pretty....it all started yesterday when I delved into the felt box and I know what you're thinking...looks pretty neat...

but it wasn't long before my slovenly craft ways took over and I'm back to postage stamp crafting again...

 if I tidied up as I went along...

I wouldn't be facing the  "where do I start" job of clearing the decks so that I can get back to playing with my new Timmie stamps from the Christmas Blueprints set...

but before I can contemplate the big tidy...I need a cuppa...see you all tomorrow

"12 Tags of 2012"

Morning folks...crikey are we really onto the September tag already...seems just like yesterday I was doing the first one...of course I'm referring to that world wide phenomenon that make all us Timmie fans have palpitations of anticipation as the first day of each month approaches...what else could whip a bunch of crafters into such a frenzy...it could only be...

"12 Tags of 2012"

here's Tim's Tag...

and no surprise that mine looks absolutely nothing like the Maestro's...I don't really think Tim wants us to make an exact replica of his tag but to use the techniques and put our own spin on them using the products we have in our crafty stash...that my excuse and I'm sticking by it...

I didn't buff mine as far back either...to be honest I didn't have any steel wool and the old dry brillo pad didn't have quite the same scrubby power but I rather like the more rusty metal look...

I just knew that these metal embellishing tools...

bought when I went to the Tim Holtz/Paperartsy Workshops with my lovely buddy Carol way back in February 2011...would come in handy some day...just goes to show that maybe all those "why did I buy that" purchases were not in vain.

Monthly Monday Give-Away

It's Timmie Tag time again...

but it's not finished because I took some time out yesterday afternoon to pop on my Grandma hat to go visit the grandkiddies and woohoo the sun decided to put his hat on too...is summer finally going to arrive in September...hopefully I will be sharing my tag with you tomorrow...if that's OK with Mr Tuppence Worth. He's off to the vet this morning for his yearly MOT...will he be so opinionated when she appears with the thermometer...I think NOT...The Furry Boy is really a bit of a pussy cat who wouldn't say boo to a goose.

thrown back in at the deep end...

A very good Sunday morning to all my lovely bloggy buds...no sooner am I back and I've been thrown in at the deep end...no easing yourself gradually back to work in this mad place we call the cubbyhole...I've been called upon yet again to use my extraordinary talents for waffling...I wonder who I learned that from...how would my old crafty Mum ever manage without me. No lazy Sunday for me and no pamper session on the cards either...apparently it's postponed until tomorrow and it will be the full works...nails clipped...teeth and ears cleaned...mega wash and brush up...I need to be looking my absolute most gorgeousness for my visit to that nice vet lady for my yearly MOT...oh no...does that mean I'll get my temperature taken again...can't she just feel my nose and if it's cold I'm fine.
Now when I agreed to help out this morning...silly me for thinking that my old crafty Mum was planning a worky day...getting stuck into next week's project for her GD spot over at Lili Of The Valley perhaps...

by the way did you notice I got a mention yesterday...thanks to my lovely buddy Anne...at least someone appreciates the amount of work I do around here...well anyway it appears I've been conned and it's going to be a play day...I knew the minute this stuff appeared...there's no pulling the wool over my eyes... it must be Timmie Tag time again....

to be honest it's not worth the hassle of me saying anything...she'll be pulling on her grumpy knickers and I'll have a major strop on my hands if she doesn't get her "12 Tags of 2012" fix and no doubt she'll be having a play with the new boys to arrive in the cubbyhole as well...

no wonder we never get any work done around here...it's time I was putting my foot down...mark my words it won't be long before she's rabbiting on again about the crafty list and how busy she is...now you know "it's all a load of waffle". Penny Black Saturday Challenge - September

Morning folks...it's the first of September...can you believe and even more unbelievable it's so darned chilly here this morning I've had to put the heating on...surely it's too early in the year for those "sitting on the radiator wrapped up in my cosy jammies and dressing gown" early morning blog post sessions but the first Saturday of the month means it's time to head over to Penny Black Saturday for a brand new challenge...thanks to all the crafty folks who joined in the "Double The Trouble" fun last month...the winners have been announced and who knows a little parcel of crafty goodies could be popping through your letterbox.

Lili Of The Valley Guest Design Spot...

Morning folks...I was thrilled when the lovely Anne invited me to do a Guest Designer Spot for the month of September over at Lili Of The Valley's Ideas to Inspire Blog...a bit speechless to be honest...but very honoured...excited and nervous all at the same time and once the news had sunk in...the cubbyhole went into "no pressure then" panic mode overdrive.  I'm sure you can guess why...they have a fabulous mega talented design team who create beautiful works of art and I'm definitely not a cute and girly crafter for the simple reason I'm a bit pants at all that detailed colouring blending thing...never quite mastered it. I'm a great believer in "don't try to be what you're not" so I'm sticking with my inky grungy style of crafting for my first card using beautiful Vintage Style Grunge Stamps along with Tim Holtz fabulous Distress Inks.

I'll be back at 8.00am with my card for this month's challenge over at Penny Black Saturday
