So what's on my workdesk today....well you might just be advised to pay a visit to the smallest room in the house before you read any further but let me set the scene. It's not all about crafting here...there are all those daily household jobs to fit in so while I was waiting for some glue to dry I sprinted to the utility room to unload the tumble dryer....crikey I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I found this snuggled up with my warm and fluffy sweatshirts...
One leg sheared off....one lens missing and the other so scratched it's now useless...how they got there will remain one of life's little mysteries...thankfully I have spare specs dotted around the house and will be able to carry on today's plan of nailing the jobs on the crafty list when I remember where I stashed them.
But before I do...I intend to sneak in a little play time because 12 tags are back...instead of having to wait until December for our next Timmie Tag Fix...it's going to be 12 Tags of 2012....one every month
Tim's Tag....
so I'm off to look out the supplies but I have a feeling it may be another "adapt and overcome" project
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx
I am so sorry about your glasses. And I do know what you mean about running around like chicken with your head cut off - oh dear, I think you said above water! I love tags and I am trying to tackle some myself. Well Kath back to the ironing board as they say!!!!

Hugs,
Barbara Diane
love the tag, and isn't it great that we don't have to wait till Christmas for more Timmytags or Kathtags for that matter! Sorry about the specs pity you didn't see that coming(Lol)
ReplyDeleteHave nice day
Val
Poor glasses!!! at least their clean... thank goodness you had a spare pair Kath, as for that Tag it is fabulous x x x Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteOops! xxx
ReplyDeleteOh dear, you could go for the 'Jack Duckworth' look :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always putting my glasses in the laundry basket to carry everything downstairs so one day I expect the same to happen here!
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd have been a bit down about the demise of the Christmas Tags but good to see you're happy about having monthly tags instead.
Adapt and Overcome are the best kind of tags in my opinion. Look forward to seeing what you do Kath.
ReplyDeleteShame about the specs. I often get in the shower in mine as I don't know I have them on - extension of me now I guess.
Hope you're signed up for my blog candy - Hugs, Neet xx
sorry to see your broken glasses. I have the good fortune of being able to buy readers and don't have to put out lots of money for glasses. Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing. Don't forget my blog candy is still up for grabs so drop by and leave a comment and make sure you are a follower. Vickie #64
ReplyDeleteThat cheered me up no end Kath. I continually lose my glasses but yet to find them where you found yours. Love your tag Kath.
ReplyDeleteWell that should teach them to stay out of the washing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the 12 tags of 2012 news I had no idea. Now I can have a TH tag monthly.
Oops! Taking altered art a bit far Kath. Have fun with the tag. Carolxx
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Sorry to hear about your glasses. Loving Tim's idea of 12 tags this year as everyone is so busy at Christmas. I like your adapt and overcome idea - I spent a fortune last year trying to copy everything exactly. You have just saved me a fortune! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of adapting as I have very few of those supplies but might be able to do something similar. Oh dear poor glasses...... I'm awaiting my replacement pair for the ones where the wrong type of varifocal was put in - so I could only see everything with superimposed images. Hope yours aren't (should I say weren't) £600 worth!!
ReplyDeletePaula (PEP)
Hope you manage to "alter" your glasses for something fun!! I love the new direction for Tim's Tags - so much less pressure on everyone at Christmas!! Helen 17.
ReplyDeleteOops! That's what you get for doing laundry and not crafting! Have fun with the Timmie Tag.

On reflection ----washing you glasses was not one of your better creative inspirations. I have washed remote controls/mobile phone and ipod..........you think i would have learned after the 1st time wouldn't you..........XX Sharne ( fresh as a daisy)
ReplyDeleteEeek! Sorry about the glasses and hope things calm down for you! Kim
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your glasses. I hope you got all your crafty tasks done until next time, Great workspace, Happy WOYWW 141, thank you for sharing,# 52

Thank goodness for spare specs!! I once found a days taking from the shop in my tumble drier!!!
ReplyDeleteLin
Shame about the specs. Love the tag (Hazel, WOYW #138) x
ReplyDeleteI almost wished I had a need for tags, cause this is one popular crafting project! One time I dropped my glasses on the way to the car, had to wait for the snow to melt to find extremely smashed glasses after running over them with the car, over and over again! lol Thanks for letting me take a peek at your desk, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the tag thing at Tim's I'm going to have to visit it for sure.. sorry about those glasses
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing about your specs. Good thing you've got more than one pair! Isn't it weird where things sometimes turn up. Looking forward to seeing your version of Tim's tag.
ReplyDeleteKat xx
Oh Kath, this post did make me chuckle. Really pretty tag, love it. Also to let you know that the buttons have arrived, thankyou so much, although i never recieved 150 i got..... 367. My little grandson counted them, lol
ReplyDeleteI would just be sick to death to find that in my laundry. With my lousy eyes my specs cost me nearly $500 each and I have distance and reading. So many are talking about Tim's tags that I just had to check out his latest. I never did the Christmas tags not being that partial to Christmas but this I could get into. But first, where does one find the larger size tags he uses?!
ReplyDeleteWhoopsie, thats what my daughter used to say when she handed us her broken glasess (about the 5th pair in a year!) how lucky that you have extra/spare, very pretty tag Hope you have a great week Lou x
ReplyDeleteoh dear i probably would have said something different and stormed off so made but i only have one pair and they are only off my faced to sleep! I just saw this tag and loved it and the 12 tags a year.
ReplyDeleteOh dear!!! Well, you have the right attitude to deal with it...
ReplyDeleteI think the tags spread throughout the year is better...so busy at Christmas...
Poor glasses! I'm waiting for new ones to come myself. Glad you have an extra pair. Take care, thanks for sharing & enjoy this WOYWW. Zo xx 86
