ReplyDeleteI LOVE buttons... now, I shall bore you with the "why"... my lovely Gran had a big old toffee tin, it was huge (well, to my three year old self probably) and she had to use a button hook to open it because it was so bashed and rusted... I still have the button hook :O)) Anyways... she used to let me delve into the buttons and run them through my fingers... and the noise sounded like the seaside.. so the tin was always "Grandma can I see the seaside tin please?" And because she spoiled me rotten she used to let me use some of the buttons of little scraps of fabric I had chopped up... bless her. My aunt now has the button tin... neglected in her loft but hopefully one day, it will be left to me. I made my own button tin and it is chocca block full of loads of different buttons... just thought I would share that... not sure why but the pics did remind me of those happy days. I shalln't add to the Mr Linky because I got some gorge buttons from Fantastic Ribbons the other day so I hope someone else gets chance to delve their hands thru the gorgeousness of buttons xx *PS... snuggle for Buddy**
