But enough of my anatomy problems...I've been getting to grips with the demo and workshop samples....technically WORK but after a couple of days of indulging myself with mucky mediums...
it definitely makes you feel like a kid let loose in the "mucky play area" at the nursery...apologies that I can only share some sneaky peeks for now...
and time to get to work on that old Liquorice Allsorts tin...needs one more coat of paint...
before it gets a fun make-over with a technique I'll be using at one of our "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" days and before you put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5...we won't be decorating an old sweetie tin...having to eat my way through loads of tins of sweeties in the name of art is way beyond the line of duty for even my sweet tooth...
just the teeniest itty bitty sneaky peekand finally this little guy is next in line for a paint job...
and I think he may just be getting a make-over with the scrummy delicious Ribbon Girl DT goodies that popped through my letterbox recently...I've completely lost track of the one day work/one day play regime...who would have thought that WORK could be so much fun.
Nothing is work unless you'd rather be doing something else.

See you all tomorrow

ReplyDeleteooooh - freezing frostbite fingers fumbling over the keyboard........ now if you'd seen the little slinky whippet sitting with his bum on the sleeping furry retriever lab in Abergavenny last month you'd have looked twice too - he definitely had the right idea but it looked so funny.

Looks like I need to learn about different mediums next.........

ReplyDeletemy mum used to tell us to move away from the fire or we would have legs like "corned beef".

When I saw the pot of paint I thought you'd lost the plot Kath! I thought the cubby hole was having a make over back in the middle of your heavy work schedule! So relieved it was only a Bertie Bassett tin getting a paint job.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you make me laugh, brightens my day every time, but can i see Buddy please love the see him snuggled up having a snooooze lol.We must be the only county in England NOT to have the white stuff YET lol.Hope yer bum isn't tooo burnt.

It was always'Tinkers Tartan'legs I was told I would get. I can sympathise with your problem Kath... when I visit my Dad and the coal fire is on the first thing I do is heat my bum so it's probably tartan too!
ReplyDeleteOh Kath I was getting excited... I have some tins that need revamping, however I'm looking forward to seeing what you reveal. Have fun and stay warm.

Hi Kath
ReplyDeletei use to lay in front of the gas fire me dad would slap me legs down as they would go all red, lol. lovely sneaky peaks, no snow here, sue,x
It was tartan legs we used to talk about in Stirlingshire. Long time since I've had them lol. No coal fire here sadly.
ReplyDeleteLove the sneaky peeks. Bit disappointed you don't need my help to eat sweeties though.
Kat xx
Your sneak peeks are so tantalising! Can't wait to see the finished items.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'd forgotten all about the mottled legs from coal fires. When I was little I would stare in amazement at ladies with this peculiar pattern on their legs, lol!
