Oh...joy

Hi folks...it's Monday morning and I'm all of a dither and excited excited excited that on this momentous OH JOY DAY...the joiners will be arriving to relieve me of my DIY hat...at one point I thought this day would never come and to be honest I'm surprised I've survived all the shenanigans but hey ho...I'm dancing a very joyful dance because I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and will be handing over the remaining part of this very long and drawn out saga to the professionals...all I have to do is dust off my catering skills...switch on the kettle and whip up some lunchtime snacks...I can manage that with my eyes closed and in between I'll be sneaking off to the cubbyhole to partake in less stressful pastimes albeit to the tune of lots of hammering no doubt but I can manage that too...a small price to pay for my sanity.
But before I forget...it's time to announce the winner of my Monthly Monday Ribbon Girl Give-Away and the lucky blogger who will be popping over to The Ribbon Girl to spend the £10 voucher is...

Did I manage to get my Timmie Tag done...sadly no...I spent the whole morning running back and forth to the skip with mountains of carpeting and underlay...so many times in fact that the guy in charge is now my best buddy...one more trip and I have the sneaky feeling I may invited home to have tea with his Mum and the afternoon was taken up with a bit of a catch-up 22 situation...either play with all things Distress or have one distressed hubby battling on his own to fit the cooker hood so I went into labourer mode and stood holding the darned thing for what seemed like forever while he measured...checked the levels...did this that and the other...well you know what men are like...lots of general faffing around takes place before another job is ticked off the list.

    Oh yes, I do know what men are like...DH has spent three days now trying to connect a power box in the garden, I am getting a little worried...... hope the works go well, at least you can enjoy some crafty time whilst the workers are in.... Hugs, Anne x

    Phew Kath - I'm exhausted just reading about your weekend - hope all goes well today. Tomorrow I'm off for a weeks tour of the west of Scotland so I'm hoping for good weather -shame it doesn't include the east side!
