first there's the all important sniffing session...gotta check who's been here already...
then it's decision time...are we going this way...
perhaps not...this is today's preferred route...
and I know exactly where he's heading...
every dog owner's nightmare...
contemplating a muddy paddle...here's where I need all my powers of persuasion...
on this occasion I was unsuccessful but...
a tasty treat persuaded him that a repeat performance wouldn't go down well and we're off again...
no clock watching for us...
lots of time to admire the local flora...
and listen out for the sounds of bunny rabbits playing...
but before you know...it's time for the intrepid adventurerers to head home...
for breakfast and all before most folks have struggled out from under their duvets...
mind you my Furry Therapist has the advantage of spending the rest of the day flat out snoozing while I'm off to load the washing machine...tidy the kitchen...clean the bathrooms and head off to the cubbyhole to rugby tackle the crafty list for a few hours before I head off for another dose of therapy with the Friday Girls...see you all tomorrow.

HAHA lovely walk, my two dogs would be totally horrified to get their feet wet, but dive into the long grass or one did this evening vanishing from sight and probably gaining a few ticks!
ReplyDeleteBoth dogs were very lively today, despite the heat, left us behind!

ReplyDeleteI love how you love your Buddy! Our dog walks don't take place in such a lovely spot, but we enjoy watching Cooper explore and enjoy! And he hates any part of his body being wet!! Thanks for the beautiful photos and lovely story.

ReplyDeleteOh Kath seeing your pics of you and Buddy make me miss my big boy Harris and our early morning walks, like you we live where we can walk through beautiful wool land etc.
Last day of the holiday - heading home this afternoon and home to be greeted with a big wet kiss from Harris my big bundle of golden ness. Funny how you think you don't miss them but you do.

Oh Buddy, you are such a handsome boy. Lots of hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures Kath - wonderful. My doggy walks are very similar - decide where we go, lots of sniffing, look out for rabbits (sometimes dispatching them too - but we won't dwell on that). And quite often muddy puddles too - as long as they are not "Vicar of Dibley" ones of course! X
ReplyDeleteA great way to chill out in the mornings Kath, enjoyed sharing your stroll with you. That is some buttered toast you have there! Enjoy our Sunny weekend promised this weekend. Carolxx

Hi Kath, we complain about our weather, but doesn't it give us some gorgeous places to have a stroll? What a pleasant walk that must be each day, apart from the yucky water bit. Your photos are so clear with wonderful colours, makes you think you are actually enjoying the walk too. Have a good weekend..Trish
