and you're probably thinking that I did manage to find the elusive watercolour paper...you should know by now that things never go according to plan in this little corner of the crafty world and there hangs yet another tale from the cubbyhole crew but first let's cut to the tag...a chance for some fun colouring with Distress Markers...
a little bit of stitching to fit in with the theme...
and cool colour matched "Distress Paint" buttons and ribbon...
So here we go with our latest tale of woe...I spent hours turning our crafty space upside down and there was no sign of the little blighter...thinking that he must have ended up in the bin during one of my "gotta declutter" mad moments so I made an emergency trip to my local Hobbycraft which just happens to be right in the centre of town...rush hour traffic...every traffic signal at red and steam coming from my years...happy bunny I was definitely not...
and blow me down with a feather...30 minutes home and happily tagging away who should appear from the Tim Holtz Miscellaneous Box...cheeky as you like...hiding under a spare pack of Cut 'n Dry...now I'm left wondering which numptie in this motley crew put it there...no prizes for guessing...
sod's law are the words that spring to mind...can't share the others that were uttered at that eureka moment but c'est la vie as they say in France. I'll see you all tomorrow over at Craftwork Cards Blog to share what I've been making with some of their gorgeous new goodies.

So beautiful! Wonderful use of colour - love every little thing about it! Whenever I have to have a 'tidy/clear out' session I always loose at least one important item, tidying up after ourselves is damaging to our health lol! Karen x

What a stunning tag Kath. The colours and the stitching look fabulous too. It certainly is sods law when things like this happen, but never mind ,you now have a spare. Have a Good Day. Hugs Rita xxxxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag Kath, Love the colours & well done on the stitching... I keep meaning to do that but my sewing skills are zero...Love the matching buttons & ribbon...at least now you have a spare pad of Watercolour paper.... Hugs May x x

Hi Kath, glad your pad turned up, it's always the same when you think you've lost something for good. Love your tag, the colours are gorgeous and blended beautifully...Trish
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, your tag is stunning, I love the gorgeous colours and the stitching - wonderful. I share your angst - I have been looking for days for one butterfly stamp......still have not found it, hope I have not binned it. Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag. I love the colors and the stitching and everything about it. When my children were small, we blamed lost items and other stuff on Gus the Ghost, who supposedly was in the attic.(a children's book about a ghost who was forever moving things around. Now that my children are grown and no longer in the house, I just have to blame myself for lost items... it happens to all of us!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy dressmaker friend would love this tag Kath - lovely colours! X
ReplyDeleteGreat tag Kath, love the colours you've used.
ReplyDeleteTypical that you find the thing you've lost after you buy more. Think it's probably happened to us all.

Yup, that finding stuff as soon (minutes, sometimes) as we have purchased new, happens to all of us. Your tag is delightful. Happy to see you using some fresh new color combination. Lovely work
ReplyDeleteLove the tag and the colour combinations, would love to see a demo of how you put it together. How frustrating going all that way into town only to get home and find the stuff under something else. Have a great weekend

Love the color scheme on your tag!
ReplyDeleteLove how the buttons tie in with the dressmaker's dummy theme - all very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress form! and plus that pale pink color brings you eyes all over the tag because you managed to bring that color from everything from the button embellishments to the background! looks fabulous!
