Doing Diddly Squat...

Hi folks...you just can't get the staff nowadays...returned home on Saturday to be informed by my social secretary aka hubby that the gorgeous grandkiddies were coming to spend the day on Wednesday...great news but it set alarm bells ringing...one less day to nail those demo samples...time to move up a gear and set the conveyor belt switch to overdrive...what he omitted to tell me was...they would be dropped off bright and early...have breakfast here and then Grandad  (yes the same social secretary) would deliver them to AFC soccer school and then pick them up late afternoon...WHAT...you can understand now how world wars start can't you...yes he is still living but I bet his ears are feeling a tad hot right now and it's nothing to do with the weather.
Mind you...did me a bit of a favour in the kick up the butt department if I'm honest but I won't be sharing that little bit of info with him...the demo samples are in the bag...completed a day ahead of schedule...just a little sneaky peek or two...


and now with time on my hands I could move on to the next project on the crafty list or in fact paint another door but you know what...I'm rather liking the idea of a "doing diddly squat" day...lounging in the garden...feet up with a nice cool drink and a good book.

    Funny I just remarked to a colleague the other day was it just me or are all men daft? I'm sure most of us who have a hubby or partner would find that our man would have done the same!
