A Walk On The Wild Side...

A very good morning to all my lovely bloggy buddies from your favourite bundle of golden deliciousness...
hard to believe I know but I don't always look as gorgeous as this...it's confession time. We've been stepping up the fitness training regime and well done to my creaky boned old MUM who reached the 6K mark yesterday on our walk on the wild side...it seems the plan is working...first time I've haven't had to listen to the moaning minnie aches and pains story.
Our morning strolls are all about doing our own thing...while Mum is admiring the local flora and fauna..

and wishing that we had a red telephone box in our garden
I'm catching up with all the latest news from my bestest buddies...Monty and Charlie...
or sitting nicely waiting for "biscuits"...
or doing a bit of this...
or this...
and the eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that the undercarriage is a little mucky...well I'm a Golden Retriever after all who can't resist a paddle...
and a wallow in a muddy hole...
oops...I'm going to be in the doghouse again...
time to sprint back to the rendezvous point...put on my "sorry Mum" face...wait for my "has no sense of humour" escort to turn up...it's face the music time folks which means...no biscuit and a good old talking to on the way home...
But I'll get my own back...I'm stepping up the anti tomorrow...can we stretch those old legs to 6.5K. Watch this space while I catch up on a few power snoozes and dry off from my hose down...a small price to pay for another lots of fun hooligan adventure.
See you all later

P.S.  Monty my bestest buddy (the one who has got the "been in the doghouse more times than he's had chewy bones" T shirt) has been in touch with a few words of wisdom..."have a good old muddy wallow first matey and then a paddle...works for me so give it a go"...wow the oracle has spoken...permission granted for another walk on the wild side hooligan outing but am I brave enough to chance my luck 2 days in a row.

  16. Hi Buddy, you and your relatives must all love to end a walk looking like this today. Wish we had a clear running burn at the end of our walks, save us trailing out the watering can every day. You lucky dogs! Well done with the training Kath!...Trish
