if truth be told I was shocked and surprised to be chosen out of the huge amount of applicants but I'm absolutely delighted...honoured and a little bit nervous about joining such a fabulously talented wonderful team and looking forward to getting to know all my new team mates. Needless to say there was no chance of any craft happening in the cubbyhole yesterday...I was too busy turning cartwheels and doing a silly dance up the walls...across the ceiling and right through the house.
And there's more good news...the sun has put his hat on and painted the sky a gorgeous shade of blue...2 brilliant sunshine days in a row is just what the doctor ordered after the horrendous cold and rain...is it the calm before the next storm perhaps...who cares...The Furry Boy and his Mum will be enjoying every minute while it lasts...
And before you know tomorrow will be Friday and I'll be back sharing Art Journal Page 2.

ReplyDeleteThat blue sky looks fabulous. All we've had the last couple of days is cloud/greyness/wet...oh and cold. I can manage the cold if it is a crisp bright day but it is so yucky when it is cold, dull & wet.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being picked as a DT member. I know you'll knock 'em dead. Congrats on the weather as well! I went out today for the first time in around two weeks. The sun was shining when I left home. The bus only takes around ten minutes to get down to town but by the time we got there some black clouds had arrived...then the heavens opened...with HAIL!!! Geez, did they hurt when they bounced off my head! I made it to the post office and stayed there until it stopped. Then the sun came out again, it's such bizarre weather down here in the south west right now. We've been getting hail storms for the past few days (Cornwall's answer to snow lol).
Now that I'm home again there's a brilliant blue sly and the sun's out, although I'm sitting here with a big cardigan on, wrist warmers, Ugg type boots and the heating on as it's proper parky. Yesterday on the local news they said spring has officially arrived here in Cornwall because the twelve huge magnolia trees they use to check all have more than 50 blossoms out...very scientific. I have to say that on the bus back home today I saw loads of camellia bushes in bloom as well, way too early but some welcome colour. The presenter on the local news said, why is magnolia paint such an awful colour when the blooms are so beautiful...he has a point lol.
