A great little gadget...

Hi folks...the good news is...we've got the histology report back on the Furry Boy's lump and it was a benign salivary duct cyst...as you can imagine I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief. The not so good news is...it's headless chicken day...lots to do before I head off to Birmingham tomorrow starting off with the all important appointment with my ever patient nail guru and this afternoon's hot date with a steam iron. But I thought I would give you a little heads up on a great little gadget that I got at Stitches to try out...a solution for removing all the little itty bitty pieces left behind when you're using intricate dies and none come more intricate or gorgeous than the Mixed Media 2 Thinlits from Sizzix and Tim Holtz...
There are lots of different gadgets on the market and they all do the trick...some better than others whereas the Roll Away...a handy little fold up tool is amazing and does the job in super quick time AND the debris doesn't end up on your workspace floor...
roll it once over your die and...
and all the left overs are now stuck to the super sticky roller and when you're done die cutting for the day...remove the roller...run under the tap and hey presto...you're ready for the next session...cool huh.
The Roll Away I got was a prototype so it isn't available to buy just yet but I'll give you the heads up when it is. But there's a rather messy Fiskars workdesk to tidy so I must away and crack on...
while the Furry Member of the cubbyhole crew is taking things easy....obeying doctor's orders and taking full advantage of his 2 week's sick leave...
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. You must be so relieved to get the test results - and you'll feel a lot more relaxed going off to Birmingham now you know he'll be well enough to keep an eye on the cubbyhole while you're away

  9. Hi Kath,
Great news on the Buddy 'lump'. I love your sticky roller...I've had one for years but not for crafting. The one I have right now has tear-off sheets but quite a few years ago I had one that you washed under the tap to get all the rubbish off. I don't see those n sale any more though. I guess someone remembered them and thought they would be ideal for crafters. I most definitely will be getting a new one once they are on sale :)
Have fun with the steam iron and don't break a nail when packing later.
