I decided to go with BUTTERFLIES as my theme...a great excuse to use the fabulous new Sizzix/Tim Holtz Detailed Butterfly Thinlits...
I die cut the butterfly twice and used the first negative to sponge Picket Fence Distress Paint to create the large white butterflies and the second negative to create a stitched frame for a focal point. Then I had lots of fun stamping the large butterfly from the Perspective Stamp Set inked with Coffee Archival Ink and the butterfly from the Watercolor Stamp Set inked with Picket Fence and Brushed Pewter Distress Paint.
adding Film Strip Ribbon...an Adage Ticket...Remnant Rubs and Big Chat Stickers...
See you all tomorrow

ReplyDeleteYou know how I love butterflies and these pages are gorgeous Kath. I love how you've used the negative die cuts in two different ways and all the layering. Great job. Hope you feel better today.

ReplyDeleteI am brand new to your blog after finding a gorgeous piece on Pinterest, from 2013. Thought I'd see what you are up to now & not disappointed at all. What a beautiful piece, so many elements to catch the eye. Calming colours, great textures. Butterflies are always a winner & to use negative so creatively is wonderful. Obviously I don't know you but hope you'll have enjoyed your walk, nature is a real tonic! Tyfs & I'll now try to sign up. Although I may have lots of TH envy as a result,Lol.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous! The butterflies are awesome! xxx
