Tic...Tac..Toe

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Use Patterned Papers" Challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...
and the theme for this week is...

TIC TAC TOE
you can use any line...vertical horizontal or diagonal
In what can only be described as a moment of madness...I chose the bottom line..
Spray...Doodle...Washi
and the bottom line is...it may not have been the best decision. I'm a prolific secret doodler but only when I'm on the phone...usually to the dreaded call centres...hanging on forever waiting to speak to a human and those creative masterpieces are never shared with the world and his wife but I'm up for a challenge so here goes...my first time sharing a doodly kind of art journal page...
using some of my all-time favourite Hero Arts stamps...oldies but definitely still goodies...
I started off by applying a coat of Gesso to the pages...spritzed on some Hickory Smoke Distress Spray Stain...spritzed with water...letting it drip...move around and do it's own thing...then I patted it lightly with a paper towel to lighten the colour. I then stamped the images from Hero Arts Friend Collage in Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and Ranger Wendy Vecchi Orange Blossom Archival Ink.
and then added lots of Idea-ology Tissue (Washi) Tape and applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte to the pages.
I stamped the Hero Arts Painted Poppy with Ranger Wendy Vecchi Tea Rose Archival...the small flower from Friends Collage with Sky Blue Archival on to white card...doodled around the edges of the flowers and leaves and the centres of the small flowers...cut them out leaving a little white around the edges and fixed to the pages.

I coloured strips of white card with Tea Rose and Sky Blue Archival Inks using the direct to paper technique...peniclled in some wavy lines and created the doodled words with a Black Fine Liner Pen...adding white dots on some with the Signo Uniball Pen and stripes on others. I used the Black Soot Distress Marker and Detailer Water Brush to create shadows around the flowers and Tissue Tape.

You can find all the products I used over at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp online store...just click on the links below...

edited to add: I can't help but make some observations on the crazy crazy weekend we've had here in the UK after the EU Referendum..the aftermath sadly highlighting all that's wrong with today's society. I'm not going to go down the road of the whys and wherefores apart from saying that I'm hedging my bets and currently making enquiries about a one-way ticket to the moon.
