and the theme for this week is...
BE SQUARE
After a busy festive season of eating too many mince pies and chilling-out couch potato days I really needed to get back to the day-to-day crafting routine and first task on the list was making thank you cards for the Christmas gifts I received but with deadlines nipping at my heels...nothing new there and Mr Mojo not yet returned from his Christmas break...I apologise for this week's clean simple and easy to make assembly line project...
I scored and folded a pile of cards measuring 5" x 5"
and lo and behold I found a pile of Plush Blooming Heart die-cut felt flowers left over from a previous project...
and before you know...they are done and ready to mail...but it got me thinking...instead of filing away left overs and creating more clutter in your crafty space why not use them up as you go along. So I decided to put this sudden lightbulb moment into practice and used the stitched squares and flowers left on my desk to make more cards. I then made a simple box from Simon Says Stamp White Cardstock...
tied it up with pretty ribbon...decorated with a double bow and the last of the felt flowers and leaves...
a perfect gift for a non-crafty friend or the very first stocking filler for Christmas 2017 perhaps...

ReplyDeleteHow absolutely clever you are to use felt in so many different adorable flowers! I love the way you combined felt with paper and how you made the squares reminiscent of patchwork quilts. It's always a treat to see how you interpret the weekly themes and this is no exception!
