and the theme for this week is...
CHILL OUT
Chill Out time for me means putting my feet up and enjoying a cup of COFFEE...you could say I'm hopelessly addicted to those little brown granules and I have a male friend who loves coffee just as much as I do and who just happens to have a birthday coming up so I made him a "chill out with a coffee" themed card...
I cut a 6" square of paper from Tim Holtz Wallflower Paper Stash Pad...despite the name the colours are vintage...muted and not specifically feminine. I stamped the coffee rings with Ranger Archival Coffee Ink and the coffee cup from Darkroom Door's Coffee Time set on to co-ordinating paper and fussy cut the cup with my favourite Fiskars scisssors. I inked the Scratches Texture stamp also from Darkroom Door with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail White Embossing Powder
fixed the vellum strips and cup in place with Ranger Distress Collage Medium Matte. But you know that feeling that it just needs a little something extra to lift the background so I inked up Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots...one of my "go to often" favourite stamp sets and went down the Versamark/White Embossing route again...
and added some highlights to the cup with the Signo Uniball White Pen.
As a gift I'll be popping a voucher inside for "Afternoon Tea For Two" at my local garden centre and you never know...he may well invite me to accompany him...fingers crossed.
Why don't you pop over to the Monday Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations from my very talented Design Team mates and as always you all have the chance to win a $50 gift voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp. You have until Monday 8am Ohio time...1pm UK time...2 pm CET to join in...
