and the theme for this week is...
PETS CORNER
I decorated a kraft bag to contain birthday treats for Buddy's best friend Slim...they've been the best of pals since they were puppies...two hooligan bundles of golden deliciousness always getting into mischief and have both inherited that "obsession with food" gene that all golden retriever owners will identify with...
I started off by cutting paper from Tim Holtz Dapper Stash Pad to be slightly smaller than the front of the paper bag and die cut the Ring Frame Die from Simon Says Stamp from co-ordinating paper...
I flipped the inner circles to show the backside of the paper and fixed everything in place with Ranger Distress Collage Medium Matte. I then stamped the nearest image to a Golden Retriever..the bone...tennis balls and dog bowl to get an idea of placement.
I stamped the images again on to co-ordinating paper...the dog with Black Archival and the accessories with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing powder...coloured with Distress Markers...cut them out and fixed in place adding Glossy Accents to the bone...dog bowl...eyes and nose of the dog...
I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vial Labels and Label Letters to create the sentiment...and stamped the sentiment from the Coffee and Tea stamp set and added the golden sparkly hearts that came in the February Simon Says Stamp Card kit...
highlighted the circles with a Signpo Uniball White Pen and created faux stitching with Ranger's Black Fude Pen...
It goes without saying that Slim will enjoy his birthday bag but he may not be so slim after munching his way through all the treats.
