The Journal Junkie is back...

Hi folks...finally I got round to finishing off my Eileen Hull Journal and what a fun adventure that was...a great way to use up the odds and ends of papers that us crafters all seem to hoard but the photography was a bit of a challenge and not nearly as much fun so make yourselves a cuppa and buckle up because I'm sharing a load of photos...
I used one of my favourite Tim Holtz Paper Stash Pads...Wallflower throughout the journal...I loved this paper so much that I bought two packs so ended up with double of the quantity of scraps. I added texture to the cover using Tim's Idea-ology Mini Layering Stencil Brick from Set 3 with Ranger Grit Paste and added colour to the cover using Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Documented with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide on to Wallflower Paper and cut out and stamped the image from Leaf Prints directly on to the cover with the same ink. I created the title with an Idea-ology Transparent Tile Alpha and Label Letters and added lots of my favourite Idea-ology Design Tape Chatter.
the floral image is from the Simon Says Stamp Bouquet Of Thanks Stamp Set...inked with Black Archival...stamped on to Distress Watercolor Card...coloured with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and die cut with the matching Bouquet Of Thanks Die.
I used one of the labels from the die to create the fastener, added Idea-ology Ring Fasteners...a Crinkle Ribbon bow coloured with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink...fixed to the back cover with strong adhesive and velcro at the front...
I made 3 signatures...the one of the left has Distress Watercolor card inserts and a Tim Holtz Wallflower Eclectic Elements fabric cover...the one on the right is a notebook with a Wallflower paper cover and the one in the centre was created from Wallflower Paper...Ranger Size 8 Tags...Glassine Paper and Canvas Fabric with added stitched pockets decorated with stamping and Design Tape...

and now that I've got the hang of it...I can't wait to start Journal No 2

I have linked all the products I used below but surprise surprise the journal die is currently out of stock...if you leave your e-mail address Simon Says Stamp will get in touch when it's available
Toodle-oo for now
