The STAMPtember month-long fun celebrations have begun at Simon Says Stamp and the design team are showcasing some of the new and fabulous products from the STAMptember release for this week's challenge.
We are also welcoming the lovely and very talented Terelisa Agosti aka BiglietTERRYa to the Designer Spotlight, if you haven't visited Terelisa's blog before, you are in for a real treat.
STAMP ON
I made a card featuring the Picture Book Donut Die from the STAMPtember release with a sentiment we can probably all relate to.
I started off by decorating a panel of Distress Watercolor card with the Tim Holtz Dots Shifter Layering Stencil using Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks with a mini round blending tool
I blended Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink over the panel to mute the colours slightly, spritzed with water and blotted with a paper towel.
I used Worn Lipstick and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks with the Stripes Shifter Layering Stencil to colour a scrap of Distress Watercolor card
tore into a strip and fixed to the bottom of the panel.
I die cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Doily Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink, trimmed in half and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I sanded an Idea-ology Baseboard frame, added a piece of Idea-ology Thrift Ephemera and a Paper Doll coloured with Spun Sugar Distress Marker behind with a strip left over from the Stripes Shifter Layering Stencil, fixed to the panel and added Idea-ology Botanical Layers.
I stamped the coffee images from Darkroom Door Coffee Time with Vintage Photo and Ground Espress Archival inks on to Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut and added Idea-ology Botanical Layers and Ephemera.
I die cut the Donut from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks and spritzed with water. I applied a light coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte to the icing, sprinkled on Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter and Stampendous Chunky White Glitter, heat embossed and coloured the eyes with a Sakura Black Gelly Roll Pen.
I added a mix of Idea-ology Snarky Talk, Small Talk, Big Chat and Label Letters to complete the sentiment and added Idea-ology Tiny Text Remnant Rubs
