It's Tidy Up Time in The Cubbyhole...

Hi folks, the first week of the New Year has gone already and I'm finally back on track with knowing which day of the week it is. The weather has turned pretty stormy in my neck of the woods, gale force winds, trees and power lines down all over the place and predicted to get worse as the week goes on. With last year's January storms in mind, when Aberdeenshire was cut off from the rest of the country for a couple of days, I'm relieved that the box of  Stampers Anonymous "Secret Stuff" samples was collected yesterday by the nice man from UPS and is now winging it's way across the pond but I'll be like a cat on a hot tin roof until I know it has arrived safely.
But, after all that stamping fun, there's the not insignificant problem of tidying up the debris left behind. Although I'm mega organised when it comes to storage, a place for everything and everything in it's place is my motto, that doesn't seem to apply when I get behind my workdesk.
So I bit the bullet yesterday and made a start, moving this year's Cubbyhole Christmas Decs up on to the project storage area on top of my Tim Holtz products bookcase...
dismantled my very sophisticated photography studio set-up
and looked out my trusty Cubbyhole tidier-up ready for action
and THAT is as far as I got. One look at the "debris everywhere"surfaces and I was off to the kitchen to console myself with lots of cups of coffee followed by a bit of foraging in the fridge, an afternoon watching TV and a valiant effort to make a big dent in the Christmas sweetie pile. I woke up this morning, relieved that the roof was still attached to the house but disappointed that the magic tidy-up fairy hadn't snuck in under cover of darkness and the realisation that the one who created the mess will be pulling on her big girl pants to tidy it all up.

They do say that many hands make light work, but the resident Furry Hooligan is nowhere to be  seen, probably snuggled up somewhere, taking life easy and doing what he does best.
Just one more cup of coffee and I'm on it
Toodle-oo for now

  1. Your disorganisation looks pretty organised to me and I bet you are all done and dusted now. I hope the weather clears up a bit for you too. I am longing for a bit of cold weather to kill off all the nasty germs that seem to be around at the moment.... Hugs, Anne xx

  5. Just admire all your lovely creations. When I mess up my room, I feel the same way. But then I am thankful I have a space to create in. Pulling everything out is part of the process that leads to the best outcomes. Thank you for sharing.

  6. Looks like a great craft studio and I can't hardly wait to see all of your samples through the lens of someone's camera of this year's Creativation goodies! By the way, do the two large shoes in the corner belong to your Muse?
