I trimmed a panel of Distress Watercolor card to be slightly smaller than an A6 card blank and used the Stripes and Dots Layering Shifter Stencils with Distress Oxide inks to colour the background.
I die cut 3 circles using a Sizzix Circle die
I stamped 3 of the images and sentiments from Funny Farm on to scraps of Distress Watercolor Card using Black Soot Archival and fussy cut but ended up only using twoI matted the panel on to a sheet of burlap paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Textured Surfaces and used the "x" stamp from Mini Media Marks inked with Black Soot to add a border around the edges.
I coloured Crinkle Ribbon with Fossilized Amber Distress Spray Stain
and tied between the two circles. I coloured craps of Distress Watercolor card with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and die cut several layers of card to create the word "friend" using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric 1" Thinlits I stacked the layers and fixed to the card along with the stamped sentiment using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I coloured the characters with Hickory Smoke and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and added to the apertures popped up on Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive
and added Ranger Glossy Accents on some of the stencilled dots.
Tonight I'll be joining Scots across the world to celebrate the birthday of Rabbie Burns
and tucking into the traditional feast of
HAGGIS
Fair Fa' yer honest sonsie face
Great Chieftain o' the puddin' race
NEEPS and TATTIES
washed down with a wee dram or two of the water of life
Happy Burns Night to all my fellow Scots wherever you may be in the world and to everyone else, have a great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday to share another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge project.
but first, at silly o'clock on a dark drizzly chilly winter morning, I need to tidy up the chaos from 2 days of "playing catch-up" crafting.

Love the touch of rustic burlap framing these fun little critters - a great card - and I've been enjoying catching glimpses of your fantastic work in the Creativation booth videos - congrats on so many fab projects. But if you think that's chaos, you need to see my current craft room state!
