AALL&Create Guest Designer Project - Owlays and Forever

Hi folks, it's Tuesday and that means it's time to share this week's ALL&Create Guest Designer project. With Father's Day only a few weeks away I decided to make a card using one of the adorable owl images from #156 Owl You Need is Love designed by Olga Heldwein and #153 Botanicals designed by Bipasha BK with Stencils #52 Quadrilaterals and #53 Florastella both designed by Olga Heldwein for the little owlets in the family to give to their Papa Owl.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create a 4" x 5.1/4" panel, smooshed Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and dragged the panel through the ink. I dried with my heat tool and dipped the panel back into the ink to pick up the remaining droplets.
I applied Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink randomly on the background using Stencil #53 Florastella and a mini round blending tool.
I applied Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to the reverse of the stencil, spritzed with water and pressed the stencil on the panel to create a monoprint effect.
I applied Ranger Texture Paste Opague Crackle using Stencil #52 Quadrilaterals and set aside to dry.
I inked one of the adorable owl images from #156 Owl You Need is Love and the leaf image from #153 Botanicals with Versafine Onyx Black and stamped on to scraps of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolor card.
In my opinion, this is best card for using with Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers, it's super smooth, allows the colour to blend smoothly and doesn't pill with the application of water.
I stamped the leaf images directly on to the panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink, added threads and a twig from my garden fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I added dots of Distress Collage Medium Matte on the twig and added Prima Fine Art Mini Stones. I fussy cut the leaves and the owl fixing in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
and check out that adorable face
I added the left over leaves to the top left corner, stamped the sentiment on to a scrap of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolor card with Versafine Onyx Black, fussy cut and fixed in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I trimmed Classic Kraft Stock, sanded to reveal the kraft core and fixed to an A2 card blank.
I die-cut "DAD" from the same Kraft Stock and white card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Society BigZ die and layered to create dimension.
and finished by adding splatters of Windsor & Newton White Gouache.

Toodle-for now or should I say Ta Wit Ta Woo
