Life Of The Party and |Perfect Plaids are definitely two of my favourites and who wouldn't want to party with these cool dudes with their wicked toothy grins.
And hey, shut the front door, how could I resist using this cool plaid background stamp from the Perfect Plaids stamp set. I inked the stamp with Black Soot Distress Archival, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card, then using mini round blending tools, applied Carved Pumpkin and Black Soot Distress Oxide and when I blended the two colours, it created a shabby faded almost green colour, which was a total surprise but a combination I will be using again. I spritzed with water, blotted with kitchen towel to create the water droplet effect and dried.
I coloured Ranger Opague Matte Texture Paste with Black Soot Distress Re-inker and applied around the edges of the card using the Hocus Pocus Layering Stencil. While the paste was still wet, I spritzed with Vintage Platinum Distress Glitter, the sparkliest, most gorgeous gold glitter ever, using the Stampers Anonymous Glitter Duster.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and stamped the skulls with Black Soot Distress Archival, stamping the two that would be in the background on scrap paper first, to create a lighter more faded look aka second generation stamping.
I fussy cut, fixed the background skulls with Distress Collage Medium Matte and the others with Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolour card with Spiced Marmalade and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide inks, stamped the bow ties inked with Black Soot Archival and fixed in place with Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive. I inked the sentiment with Versamark, stamped on to a scrap of the plaid background and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder.
I covered an A2 card blank with Black Classic Kraft Stock, sanded back to reveal the Kraft core and fixed the panel in place. I'll be back soon to share more spooky Halloween makes, in the meantime, it's time for you to get your spook on.
Toodle-oo for now
