Simon Says - Stencil Fun

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
STENCIL FUN
I certainly did have fun creating an Art Journal page inspired by my favourite Delft pottery and signs in the garden that Spring is definitely just around the corner.

The perfect excuse to christen my new Dina Wakley Blue Edition Media Journal and indulge my passion for Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Layering Stencils.
I began by laying the Tim Holtz Bouquet Layering Stencil on the Cotton Watercolor Paper and spritzed with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Spray. I didn't cover the edges of the stencil because I wanted to keep the white edges giving the impression of a tag. I moved the stencil to the top of the page and spritzed again. I then turned the stencil over, spritzed lightly with water, placed on the page and transferred the ink by pressing with kitchen towel to create a monoprint effect and fill in the gaps.
I applied Fossilized Amber Distress Paint through the Halftone Layering Stencil using Ranger Cut 'n Dry Foam
and added more stencilling using the Digits Layering Stencil with Walnut Stain Distress Paint. I added strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Fabric and Design Tape to both pages.

I applied Distress Grit Paste through the Halftone Layering Stencil to add some interest to the denim page background.
I die-cut six bottles from Distress Watercolor card using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bottled Up BigZ die and layered them to create 3 sturdier bottles. I added a touch of Distress Grit Paste to the bottle on the left with my finger and once dry, coloured with a mix of Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain Distress Paint. While the paint was wet,I  sprinkled on Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain Distress Embossing Glazes, did the little tapping dance with my fingers underneath and heat set. I applied Distress Crackle Texture Paste through the Bouquet Mini Layering Stencil from Set on the other two bottles and with the stencil still in place, spritzed with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Spray and set aside to dry. I tinted the edges of the bottles with a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon and added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Classic Label Sticker to the yellow bottle.
I fixed the bottles in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and added the flowers die-cut from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits, coloured with Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Oxide re-inkers using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I die-cut each letter twice from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Classic Upper Thinlits and the ampersand using Wordplay BigZ XL. I layered the letters to create dimension and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
To tie in with the green on the flower stems and add a little extra texture on the Cotton Watercolor paper page, I created splatters using Peeled Paint Distress Paint, sprinkled with Peeled Paint Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
To finish off and balance out the design, I added two more flowers.
