Winifred In Her Christmas Finery

Hi my friends, it's been a crazy week, horrendous thunderstorms resulting in the streets of Aberdeen turning into rivers, the derailment of the Scotrail train near Stonehaven with tragically 3 fatalities, the sad news that Craft Stamper has ceased publication for good and the ongoing saga of my fence painting which hasn't gone according to plan. I was either rained off or it was just too hot to stand in the blistering sun with a paintbrush, but I'm almost there and I will be very relieved to finally toss the grotty painting clothes in the bin. I'm finishing off the week with a little bit of light hearted fun to introduce you to Winifred in her Winter Wardrobe Christmas Finery and this fashionista with her hat the Queen would wear, made her first catwalk appearance on the Tim Holtz Facebook Live launch of the Chapter 3 Christmas Release. If you missed the launch, you can still check out all the goodies and amazing inspirational samples over on Tim's Blog HERE.

I began by covering an Idea-ology Baseboard Frame with Idea-ology Collage Paper and applied a light coat of White Gesso. I used Ranger Cut 'n Dry to apply some colour randomly using Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Oxide inks. I added splatters of white gesso and fixed paper from last year's Idea-ology Christmas Paper Pad I die cut Winifred from Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and Distress Watercolor and the Winter Wardrobe Thinlits from Distress Watercolor coloured with Candied Apple and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks.
I coloured Distress Watercolor card with Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Oxide inks and die-cut with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Holiday Brushstroke Thinlits also from the Chapter 3 Christmas release. I added Idea-ology Big Chat and ChitChat Stickers and fixed the frame panel to Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock, sanded back to reveal the kraft core.

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. In the meantime, have fun but stay safe.
Hugs Kath xxx
