Simon Says - Shake It Up

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

SHAKE IT UP

I'm shaking it up with a Winter Scene card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Winterscape and Tiny Text Christmas with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stunning Snowflake and Alphanumeric Classic Lower Thinlits and Sizzix Sequins for added sparkle.

I began by trimming Distress Cracked Leather cardstock to measure 5" x 7" and die cut an aperture and frame using Waffle Flower A7 Layer dies.

I turned the outer frame over to the smooth side of the Cracked Leather cardstock, smooshed Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my glass media mat, spritzed with water and laid the outer frame into the ink, dried and tapped back in to pick up the remaining droplets of ink. I fixed the inner frame back into the aperture and fixed in place with double sided tape on the back.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to the same size and stamped the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Winterscape inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink.

I added acetate and foam adhesive to the back of the framed panel.

and a mix of silver and white Sizzix sequins into the centre of the stamped panel

I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stunning Snowflake from Distress Cracked Leather Cardstock and coloured the inner snowflake with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink by dragging the ink pad over the die cut.

I fixed the snowflakes to the panel, trimmed off the excess at the edges and fixed the panel to a top-folding 5" x 7" white card blank.

I die cut "Winter" 3 times from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Classic Lower Thinlits, layered to create dimension and fixed to the acetate using Distress Collage Medium Matte.

To complete the sentiment, I inked Holiday Wishes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text Christmas with Versamark, stamped on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card coloured with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder, trimmed and fixed to the acetate using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
