Hi my friends, I'm sharing the card I made for the YouTube Live launch of the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 1 release using the gorgeous Brushstroke Flowers 2 and the amazing Intertwined 3D Texture Fade. If you missed the Live launch, pop over to Tim's Blog HERE where you can check out the whole collection, watch the YouTube Live and see all the amazing inspirational makes listed under each Maker.
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to fit the Intertwined 3D Texture Fade, misted the card back and front with water and ran it through my die-cutting machine 3 times. I spritzed the card with water again and sprayed with Antique Linen and Hickory Smoke Distress Spray Stains, letting the colour absorb into the texture before drying with my heat tool. I covered Distress Watercolor card with dictionary paper using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I die-cut the Brushstroke Flowers 2 from the dictionary paper, Distress Watercolor card coloured with the Hickory Smoke Distress Spray Stain and brown and black Classic KraftStock and added shadows to the edges of the flower and leaf die-cuts using Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. I wound Eclectic Elements Thread around the bottom of the Intertwined panel, fixed to a panel of Brown Classic KraftStock and machine stitched around the edges of both panels. I fixed the flowers and leaves to the panel using Distress Collage Medium and Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension and added the Flower dictionary definition panel. I matted the panels on to a slightly bigger panel of Idea-ology Memoranda Paper and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank covered with Brown Classic KraftStock
I added splatters of Hickory Smoke and Rusty Hinge Distress Paint, Glossy Accents to the black centres of the flowers and Idea-ology Typed Token and Eclectic Elements Thread bow.
I'll be back tomorrow to share some "Love Is In The Air " cards, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
Hugs Kath xxx

ReplyDeleteOH so gorgeous and that basket weave just shines through. LOVE the dictionary words on the flowers and the colors are wonderful. Great pics I think too. LOVE this!
ReplyDeletei Love this card and the beautiful colors. I ordered this die and for the first time I am disappointed in one of TH products. All the photos I've seen seem bigger than the actual and the leaves are so tiny they were hard to work with. Will have to try another day and hope I'm happier !!! T
