Through The Window

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card using products from Simon Says Stamp Through The Window July 2025 Card Kit. The kit is still available to purchase at time of writing or if you wish to subscribe to the monthly kits or purchase individual items from the kit, you can find all the details HERE.

I created a card using the Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set, the Landscapes 6" x 6" stencil, acetate and 110lb Ivory cardstock all included in the kit.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and inked Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink through the cloud section of the Landscapes 6" x 6" stencil to create the background. I stamped the branch image from the Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set inked with Scorched Timber Distress Ink.
I stamped the window image from the stamp set, inked with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, applied strips of Masking Magic around the inner window frame, stamped the landscape image from the stamp set and added the sun/moon using the Landscapes Stencil and Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.
I stamped the window image on to the acetate sheet included in the kit, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I trimmed around the window frame and fixed over the original image using Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue.
I stamped the floral image from Simon Says Butterfly Blooms on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and coloured using the co-ordinating Butterfly Blooms co-ordinating stencil and Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.
I fussy cut the flowers leaving a small border. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink, stamped the sentiment from Through The Window, inked with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I fussy cut around the sentiment, fixed to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut again to leave a white border. I fixed the flowers and sentiment to the panel using Simon Says Thin Foam Squares.
I scored and folded the 110lb Ivory Cardstock included in the kit to create a top-folding A2 card and lightly inked the edges with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.
To finish I added dot detail to the flower centres using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen and fixed the panel to the card.

Have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
