Hello my friends, I'm back to share some Christmas Collage Tags I made using the tester swatches I created using the latest release of Distress Mini Oxide ink pads from Tim Holtz and Ranger.
If truth be told, I was feeling a bit of a numpty because I already have swatches of all the Distress Oxide colours from the original full size ink pads and being the thrifty Scot that I am, decided that I was not going to let this little adventure be in vain so why not have some fun and turn them into tags to fix to Christmas parcels.I decided to fix all the tags together with some old Idea-ology Design Tape from my stash. Don't know why but I find it easier to collage on a larger surface rather than working on small individual tags.I inked one of the foliage images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Sketch Greenery with the darkest colour from each of the ink pad packs and stamped randomly on to the corresponding coloured tag.I flipped the tags over, inked several of the foliage images from the stamp set with a variety of the Distress Oxide ink colours, spritzed the stamps with water and stamped randomly to create a light watercolor effect, a place to write your Christmas message.I trimmed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Large Collage Strips into smaller pieces, inked the edges with the Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Mini Ink Pad and a Tiny Blending Tool and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I tried as much as possible to match the collage pieces with the background colours.I applied Distress Grit Paste Opaque through the Hocus Pocus Mini Layering Stencil from Set 43 and this was definitely made easier with the tags all in a row.
To finish I separated the tags using my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Guillotine and tied twine on to each tag.In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
